My Craft Projects

               Picture Frame Wreath

Here is my Pinterest inspired wreath.  The original is a Christmas wreath and can be found here. Fall is my favorite time of year to decorate, followed closely by Christmas.  The rest of the year I do the best I can but always feel like everything looks "blah".

Saved Pillowcase  Here is a pillow I made from a vintage pillowcase.  The pillowcase was originally embroidered by my friend's grandmother many years ago and the pillowcase was tattered and torn.  I cut off the embroidery and as much of the pillowcase fabric as I could.  I also used the back of the pillowcase hem to "save" the unique hem and to make the top and the bottom of the new pillow match.  You can't see it in this photo, but there was a small amount of what I think was tatting left on the edges and I tried to save that also, you can barely see it on the very edges of the pillow.  It makes me so happy to be able to repurpose an item that otherwise would not have been usable at all, especially when it is a treasured heirloom!  Oh! the two buttons are to hide a tiny hole that was in the fabric!

The Crown Royal Quilt

This is the quilt I made from Crown Royal bags

I started out with 170 of these

and ended up with this...

Flip Flop Pillow

Here is the flip flop pillow I made to give my daughter for her birthday this year.  Steph loves all things "flip flop"!  It measures about 18" by 9".  She loved it!

Nook Cover

And here is the cover I made for Steph's Nook.
